We obtain our high-quality fine chocolate "Criollo" from the Juan Pablo Community in the Santipo region in Peru. Around 200 families live there, all of whom finance their livelihood by growing cocoa. AcanChia stands up for the local people and builds up a village community with kindergarten, school, electricity and water supply. We support cocoa farmers in securing their livelihood and improving their quality of life.

Research & Development

The aim of the GLUCOMANNAN project is to ensure the sustainable production of glucomannan. It is important to develop a suitable method for growing Konjac in Germany and to find the simplest possible method of propagation for orchids in order to cultivate them on a larger scale. The project NEW FOOD is about finding a suitable production process to produce products rich in fructooligosaccharide from the yacon root, which preserves the positive properties of the vegetable sweetness. The QUANTUM project is about the value chain of quinoa seeds. The aim is to integrate the quinoa grown in Germany into a holistic system. This includes preventing the loss of saponins in the wash water and making them usable in other production ways.
